Grave of Aoki Konyo (Ryusenji Temple)
Aoki Konyo (1698-1769), who rests behind the main hall of Ryusenji Temple,
During the Great Famine of 1732, he was recognized for his efforts in saving people from starvation with sweet potatoes.
He is known as "Sweet Potato Teacher" or "Potato God."
On a sunny day, the chirping of small birds from the trees beside the tombstone can be heard.
It reminds me of Professor Sweet Potato's gentle smile.
"A day perfect for sweet potato romance♪"
