Hoshiimo Shrine

This shrine, which opened in 2019 within the grounds of Horidashi Shrine, is packed with entertainment.
The golden torii gate is inspired by the "Beni Haruka" sweet potato, the lintel is made of sweet potato leaves, and the base is shaped like a sweet potato—every detail is sweet potato-themed!
Visitors can enjoy "dried sweet potato fortune-telling," a "dried sweet potato vending machine," "Japan's smallest sweet potato field" with a view of the sea, and sweet potato sweets at the cafe.
Ibaraki Prefecture's dried sweet potato history and playful spirit make this a truly "sweet potato heartthrob spot"!
